Northern Ireland missed the opportunity to cement their spot at the summit of their UEFA Nations League group after Isaac Price missed a late penalty.
Michael O'Neill's side had already secured three points over their opponents in Tbilisi last month and had hoped to take maximum spoils for a second time on the back of their emphatic 3-0 victory over Ukraine last time out.
However, despite carving out by far the most clear cut chances of the match at Windsor Park, the hosts were forced to settle for a share of the spoils as Georgia hung on to frustrate the Green and White Army.
Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was a constant thorn in the Northern Irish side, producing a wonderful save to thwart West Bromwich Albion man Price's spot-kick having a couple of minutes earlier produced an even better stop to deny Josh Magennis.
The hosts also rattled the woodwork and missed a handful of other golden opportunities either side of the interval, ones they were ultimately left to rue.
Still, despite that, Northern Ireland remain in control of their Nations League destiny and can take huge heart from a fourth consecutive clean sheet.
