Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign former Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku from AC Milan.
Nkunku is believed to be surplus to requirements at the Serie A giants following the appointment of former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has reported that Newcastle have been offered the player, with the Magpies yet to make a decision.
It is claimed that new Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle would be interested in securing the services of the French international.
A return to former club RB Leipzig is a potential option for Nkunku, while Roma and Galatasaray are also thought to be possible destinations.
Nkunku only arrived at the San Siro last summer when he penned a five-year deal at the club.
His move from Chelsea cost the club a transfer fee of €42 million and he made 35 appearances last season, scoring eight goals.
The 28-year-old looks destined to move on again this summer and Newcastle are a club who could benefit from a marquee signing or two.
Jaissle's men get their 2026/27 Premier League campaign underway at home to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
