Welshman Gerwyn Price has been installed as the pre-tournament favourite to secure the New Zealand Darts Masters crown in Auckland this weekend.
The Iceman sits at the top of the billing ahead of the latest World Series of Darts event down under after reigning champion Luke Littler and world number three Luke Humphries opted to pull out.
Their absence opens the door for the eight other PDC stars to get their hands of silverware, with 2022 winner Price and World Darts Championship runner-up Gian van Veen featuring prominently in the betting.
Jonny Clayton will also have his backers after an impressive season so far, which included a run to the semi-finals of the Premier League.
Stephen Bunting and James Wade have also flexed their muscle of late and could offer value at potentially inflated prices, with Raymond Smith likely the pick of the bunch from the Oceania representatives to challenge for the title.
