Misfits have announced their acquisition of the Wasserman Boxing stable and revealed plans to expand into other sports.
Launched in 2022, Misfits quickly became one of the dominant forces in the influencer boxing space - and have since held 25 events across the UK, US and the Middle East.
Earlier this year the group announced that they would be developing into the traditional boxing sphere, and their inaugural MF Pro event - headlined by a WBC international title clash between Michael Conlan and Kevin Walsh - is scheduled to take place in Belfast this weekend.
On Wednesday, Misfits announced they have taken yet another step towards building their pro stable by acquiring all fighters contracted to Wasserman Boxing and placing them under the MF Sports banner.
"We are delighted to announce the launch of MF Sports," the promotion announced in a statement shared on social media.
"Together with a strategic European investor, we have taken control of the Wasserman Boxing stable and rebranded as MF Sports."
"MF Sports will include MF Pro, our traditional boxing business, as well as a large stake in the leading crossover boxing promotion, Misfits Boxing, with both having long term broadcast deals with streaming giant DAZN."
The statement also noted that plans are underway for Misfits to expand into two new sports sometime this year.
One of the sports that Misfits have shown an interest in is mixed martial arts.
At Misfits 22 in August the promotion held an MMA fight on one of their shows for the first time, with decorated grappler Dillon Danis defeating Warren Spencer to claim the inaugural MF MMA light heavyweight title.
Danis was scheduled to defend his belt against Misfits mainstay Anthony Taylor on the Fight Before Christmas card in December, before he was forced to withdraw due to an injury.
