Viddal Riley signs with Misfits Boxing

British cruiserweight champion Viddal Riley revealed that he has signed an exclusive promotional deal with Misfits Boxing.

Riley captured the British title in with a unanimous decision win over Cheavon Clarke on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn I undercard back in April.

The 28-year-old contender putting pen to paper represents a coup for Misfits' MF-Pro division, which aims to showcase traditional professional boxers alongside their crossover offerings.

Possessing an undefeated professional record and a decorated amateur background, Riley first rose to fame as Misfits chief KSI's boxing trainer, preparing the social media star as he made his first steps into the ring.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Riley explained why opted to sign with the promotion.

"In simple terms, it was the best deal on the table," Riley said.

"In this game you have to do what is best for you. It's not a decision I always knew I was going to make but you go through the process, you check the temperature and you go where the weather is hot, and the weather was hot.

"I'm very happy with the move. It feels like what I've built so far and the people that helped me get to the position I'm in, it's a reunion. I think for my audience, this is why they're watching.

"This is why we have the YouTube, this is why we have the podcast. all these things are linked to the beginning with [KSI] and what we've built so now with me as the fighter I'm excited to see what we can cook up together."

Riley made his professional debut in 2018 under the Mayweather Promotions banner.

He subsequently joined Ben Shalom's Boxxer stable and had linked with a move to Matchroom before signing with Misfits.
