Founded in 2006, the World Marathon Majors is a championship-style competition comprising some of the most prestigious marathon events from across the globe.
2025 marked the first time that the Sydney Marathon was included in the schedule, and this year's competition will feature seven events on three continents.
The first major marathon of the 2026 calendar is Tokyo, with the 19th edition of the event in the Japanese capital set to take place on the 1st of March.
Tokyo is followed by Boston, London, Sydney, Berlin and Chicago before the year draws to a close with the New York Marathon in November.
