Lincoln City have reportedly completed the signing of full-back Daniel Oyegoke from Italian side Hellas Verona.
After returning to the second tier of English football for the first time in more than six decades, Lincoln have brought in a number of players ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.
A second-half goal from Ben House against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday gave the Imps their first Championship win of the season and it appears fans will have more to celebrate over the coming days.
According to a report from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Lincoln have agreed terms with Hellas Verona for Oyegoke, with the 23-year-old set to become the club's fourth permanent signing of the summer.
After initially being picked up by Barnet's youth academy, Oyegoke moved to Arsenal in 2017 where he was converted from a forward into a right-back.
It was in this role that Oyegoke received his first call-ups for England, representing the Young Lions at multiple age groups.
He was also part of the England side that won the UEFA European U19 Championship in 2022.
Though he was offered a professional contract at the end of his Hale End scholarship he ultimately opted not to remain in north London and instead joined Brentford, where he received his first taste of senior football in the Football League with loans at MK Dons and Bradford City.
After a brief spell in the Scottish Premiership with Hearts, Oyegoke joined Hellas Verona in January 2025 for a fee reported to be around £300,000.
Last season Oyegoke made 16 appearances at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi as Verona were relegated from Serie A.
