Leicester City defender Victor Kristiansen is set to leave the club this summer following their relegation to League One.
Kristiansen arrived at the King Power Stadium in January 2023 for a fee of £17 million from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
He featured in 12 league matches for Leicester over the remainder of the 2022/23 season as the club were relegated from the Premier League.
Kristiansen was loaned out to Italian side Bologna for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign, with Leicester winning promotion from the Championship in his absence.
He returned to the East Midlands after Bologna decided not to take up the option to sign the Dane, but he was again part of a Leicester team that were relegated from the top-flight.
Injuries limited Kristiansen to just six appearances last season as the Foxes suffered back-to-back relegations and dropped to the third tier of English football.
It has been a desperate time in England for Kristiansen having been part of three Leicester relegations in three seasons.
The 23-year-old left-back, who has been capped 18 times for Denmark, is now set to depart this summer.
Greek news outlet Sport24 have reported that Panathinaikos are leading the chase to sign Kristiansenn.
Panathinaikos are managed by Jacob Neestrup, who was the left-back's manager during his time at FC Copenhagen and he is believed to be interested in a reunion.
Incidentally, FC Copenhagen have also been mooted as a possible destination but wages could be the issue with a move back to Denmark.
Leicester will be keen to get Kristiansen off the books as they attempt to build a squad which is capable of winning promotion from League One.
