Arsenal lifted the Community Shield in 2026 when they defeated Manchester City 3-0 in Cardiff.

The Gunners sealed their place in the traditional domestic season curtain-raiser by winning the Premier League and produced a brilliant performance to dismantle FA Cup holders City.

Mikel Arteta's men sealed their 18th Community Shield victory and their fourth in the last 10 years.

A fast start for the Gunners saw Riccardo Calafiori put them one goal to the good after just one minute and they continued to impress throughout the game; Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard rounding off a convincing win.

Crystal Palace defeated Liverpool to earn Community Shield success just one season prior, the match ended 2-2 with Palace eventually coming through on penalties and they bagged their two goals courtesy of Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Hugo Ekitike had put Liverpool ahead very early in the game and Jeremie Frimpong restore their lead after Mateta equalised, but it was not enough for the Reds at Wembley.

Manchester City needed penalties to defeat rivals Manchester City in 2024; Bernardo Silva and Alejandro Garnacho both getting on the scoresheet in 90 minutes on that occasion.
