World Series of Darts Finals Tips & Prediction: Keith Deller makes 12/1 final shout

Keith Deller MBE provides his pre-tournament tips and predictions for the upcoming 2026 World Series of Darts Finals at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam.

Michael van Gerwen is the reigning champion in the Dutch capital after winning the sixth World Series Finals title of his illustrious career by defeating Luke Littler 11–7 in the final.

However, Littler will be even hungrier to go one further on this occasion as he chases darting immortality, with the world number one targeting a first-ever clean sweep of majors in one year.

The Nuke is the odds-on favourite win a second World Series Finals title, but 1983 World Darts Champion Deller is willing to...

World Series of Darts Finals Winner Prediction

Even though it's not a ranking event, the World Series of Darts carries some a lot of weight and this is an excellent tournament to build some momentum ahead of an important few months in the calendar.

While there are many players who will feel they have a great chance of glory in Amsterdam, it's hard to see past Luke Littler at the moment.

The Nuke is continuing his quest to win all 10 televised major tournaments in a calendar year, having triumphed in the first five of 2026.

He was imperious at the World Matchplay, and he dealt another ominous statement to his rivals in last week's Czech Darts Open, where Littler extended his growing head-to-head advantage over his old friend Luke Humphries with an 8-6 victory in the final.

Littler encounters Danny Noppert in the first round in Amsterdam, who he whitewashed 6-0 in Prague, and he should ease through his quarter with a minimum of fuss.

His confidence is sky high, he's got the rest of the field all worried and it seems a tall order for anyone to topple him.

World Series of Darts Finals Pre-Tournament Tips

Although I am expecting Littler to triumph, I do think he could be pushed all the way by my finalist selection, Gian van Veen.

It's not been the summer Van Veen might have imagined after he was convincingly beaten by Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals of the World Matchplay, and his performances have deteriorated since undergoing surgery to remove kidney stones in March.

However, the Dutchman will be eager to get back on track in front of a home crowd, especially with the World Championships just around the corner.

He's in the same quarter as Humphries, but I fancy Van Veen to get the better of Cool Hand when the pair are scheduled to collide in the quarter-finals.

Should the Giant prevail, he is projected to face Michael van Gerwen in the last four, which would surely delight the home crowd.
