Jon Rahm and the DP World Tour have reached an agreement with regard to his future on the tour.
The two-time major champion had been in a long-term stand-off with the DP World Tour over fines and a suspension issued to him following his decision to compete in 'conflicting' LIV Golf events.
In 2024, the Spaniard appealed the punishments handed to him, therefore clearing him to play in last year's Ryder Cup.
Since Europe's stunning victory at Bethpage Black, Rahm has doubled down on his decision not to pay the outstanding fines, however, in the wake of the news that the LIV Golf Tour faces an uncertain future, he and the DP World Tour have reached an agreement.
In just February, Rahm rejected a deal proposed to him by the DP World Tour - a deal that was accepted by eight other LIV players - which called on him to pay any outstanding fines, withdraw his appeal and play additional events on the tour.
The 31-year-old rejected on the grounds that he was unhappy with the amount of events he had to play being raised from four to six. Rahm since opted to drop his appeal against the sanctions, but maintained that he would not pay the fines.
In the build-up to this week's LIV Virginia event, the DP World Tour have confirmed that Rahm will now pay all of his outstanding fines from 2024 onwards, believed to be in the region of £2.2m.
This now means that he is eligible to qualify for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor.
A DP World Tour spokesperson said: "The DP World Tour and Jon Rahm have come to an agreement on conditional releases to play in conflicting tournaments on LIV Golf during the remainder of its 2026 season.
"This involves payment of all outstanding fines accrued from 2024 to date, along with participation in agreed DP World Tour tournaments (outside the Majors) in the remainder of the 2026 season."
Last week, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced that it would be scaling back its support for the LIV Tour at the end of the 2026 season.
The PIF said that "substantial investment required is no longer consistent" with how the fund's investment strategy is looking to move forward.
