The 2027 PGA Tour season will be the final year in the tour's current guise before splitting into two in 2028.
The 2028 season will see the 'Championship Series' and the 'Challenger Series' with the former having 15 events and the latter having more than 20, making 2027 the final season of just one aligned PGA Tour.
Changes had been announced earlier in the year regarding a few changes, such as the Hawaii events being cancelled and the season starting later with the American Express, and the Valspar Championship being moved out of the Florida Swing to the start of May.
The regular season is almost locked in for 2027 with the Torrey Pines event waiting for a new sponsor, and the new Sompo Championship -- replacing the Rocket Classic -- set to be held at Silverado.
There are a handful of other reshuffles, with the Valero Texas Open preceding the Masters, and the Texas Children's Houston Open being moved forward a week.
