Irish Grand National declarations; Mullins declares SEVEN

The Jukebox Kid is a very eye-catching declaration for Monday's Irish Grand National.

Ben Pauling's progressive seven-year-old heads the betting for the Fairyhouse showpiece with the UK aiming to win the race for a second consecutive year after Haiti Couleurs captured a famous victory in 2025.

Despite his 6/1 price, the race looks extremely wide-open with a high-class field of 30 declared.

The €269,500 up for grabs for the winner could prove absolutely pivotal to the race to be crowned champion trainer in Ireland.

Gordon Elliott has led Willie Mullins virtually all season long but the latter has eaten into his lead since Christmas and, after appearing to wave the white flag on his UK title charge, Mullins has sent a stacked team to Fairyhouse.

The great trainer has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal, so much so that he has declared a staggering seven runners for Monday's Irish Grand National.

Paul Townend, to the surprise of many, has chosen to ride Kiss Will over Argento Boy in what could be perceived to be as a vote of confidence to the former's chances.

Elliott, keen to outbattle his great rival, has opted to throw six bullets at the race; including top weight Better Days Ahead who will be ridden by quality claimer Rob James.

Kurasso Blue, whose Cheltenham Festival gamble didn't quite go to plan, will also lineup with Shecouldbeanything whio is the mount of Jack Kennedy.
