Chennai Super Kings - 10 finals
Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings have a 50% win ratio in finals having reached the tournament's showpiece in 10 different seasons.
The Super Kings reached their first in the inaugural campaign in 2008 before reaching the final in four consecutive terms between 2010 and 2013.
Other final appearances followed in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023.
Mumbai Indians - 6
Mumbai Indians accompany the Chennai Super Kings as five-time record winners of the IPL, although their record in the showpiece is far superior.
The Indians suffered defeat in their first final appearance in 2010 but went on to triumph in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Kolkata Knight Riders - 4
The Kolkata Knight Riders reached the final in 2012 and 2014 and were victorious on both occasions.
Their next showpiece appearance saw them defeated by Chennai Super Kings in 2021 but they added to their tally of IPL titles with success in 2024.
