We take a look at India's biggest Test defeats after a record 408-run loss to South Africa.
The world Test champions stormed to victory in Guwahati courtesy of a final innings 6-37 from Simon Harmer.
Defeat condemned India to a second Test series defeat in 12 months after New Zealand inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on them in 2024.
Two decades have passed since India lost by a heavier margin, succumbing to a 342-run loss against Australia in 2004. Damien Martyn scored 114 & 97 with Jason Gillespie taking nine in the match as India were bowled out for just 200 chasing 543 in Nagpur.
Pakistan also registered a defeat of very similar margins onto their bitter rivals in 2006.
After being bowled out for 245 in the first innings, seven of the eight Pakistan batters to take to the crease in the second innings scored a half century or more.
Faisal Iqbal top scored with 139 before Abdul Razzaq's 4-88 consigned India to their biggest-ever away loss.
