Hull City's hopes of signing Anderson Talisca have received a significant boost following reports that the Brazilian forward has handed in a transfer request.
Widespread reports in Turkey claim that Tigers owner Acun Ilıcalı sounded out the 32-year-old as a summer target and made an offer to Fenerbahce.
In the wake of Hull's proposal, Talisca has asked to leave the Turkish giants, that's according to media outlet Sabah Spor.
"Anderson Talisca, who received an offer from Hull City, has requested permission for his transfer from Fenerbahce," Sabah Spor detailed on X.
"The experienced player, aiming to play in the Premier League, is awaiting the agreement."
Talisca was a key player for Fener last season, netting 23 goals in all competitions, the lion's share of which he amassed in the Turkish top-flight where his tally of 19 saw him finish a close third in the goalscoring charts.
The Brazilian has played for two of Turkey's "Big Three", enjoying a successful two-year loan spell at Besiktas earlier in his career. On loan from Benfica at the time, Talisca bagged 34 goals in all competitions, five of which came in the UEFA Champions League.
After a brief spell with Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League, Talisca played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo for three years at Al-Nassr. The 77 goals he scored for the Saudi Abrabian side puts him sixth on their all-time top goalscorer list.
Hull are yet to announce a permanent signing upon their return to the Premier League but have been strongly linked with moves for former Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland and Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
After gaining to the top-flight via the Championship playoffs, Hull will be aiming to re-establish themselves as a Premier League outfit and are 25/1 to finish in the top half.
