Hull City set to move for American midfielder

Hull City are reportedly lining up a move for American midfielder Rokas Pukštas from Hajduk Split this summer.

Pukštas is one of the brightest prospects in the Croatian top-flight and he has been capped by USA at youth level.

The 21-year-old has featured 108 times for Hajduk Split and he has weighed in with an impressive 21 goals.

The former Manchester United trialist is yet to make his senior international debut, while he also turned down the chance to represent Lithuania.

Sports Boom have reported that Hull are interested in securing the signature of the talented youngster as they prepare for the start of pre-season.

Pukštas enjoyed a particularly strong 2025/26 campaign as he registered 10 goals across 36 matches in all competitions.

The goalscoring midfielder could prove to be a shrewd acquisition for Hull as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

The Tigers won promotion from the Championship under the stewardship of Sergej Jakirović and their manager is believed to be an admirer of the midfielder.

Hull will be looking to add quality all over the pitch and they will be looking to combine a blend of experience and young talent.

Pukštas fits into the second of those categories but if he thrives next season then he could have a significant resale value.
