Hull City have reportedly targeted Norwich City's full-back Kellen Fisher as they look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the Tigers' Premier League return.
The Humberside outfit have been linked with a multitude of names following their sensational promotion from the Championship last season and after being restricted to just free agent signings and loan deals last summer, owner Acun Ilacli is keen to splash the cash to bolster Sergej Jakirovic's options.
Jack Butland's arrival from Rangers is the only confirmed transfer through the door of the MKM Stadium, but there are several more in the pipeline and one might be Norwich's highly-rated Fisher.
According to Sky Sports, Hull are exploring a move for the England Under-21 international, who has excelled at Carrow Road over the previous two seasons.
The report adds that the Tigers are yet to make any formal contact with Norwich concerning Fisher's availability and the right-back is not short of interested parties.
Wolves and Brentford have previously been linked with the former Bromley defender, while Fisher has also garnered attention from overseas.
Fisher signed for Norwich from Bromley in June 2023 and established himself as a first-team regular during the 2024/25 campaign to win the club's Young Player of the Season.
His emergence prompted Ben Futcher to hand him his first call-up to the England Under-20 side and Fisher has since transitioned into England's Under-21 team, making two appearances under Lee Carsley.
Norwich boss Philippe Clement has been impressed with Fisher's progression since his appointment in November last year and the Canaries find themselves in a position of strength to negotiate a lucrative deal as the defender still has two years left on his existing contract.
Fisher ranked prominently for Championship full-backs last season across a variety of metrics including duels won, tackles completed and recoveries.
The East Anglian club view Fisher as a key component in their promotion plans, but they may be tempted to cash in if their valuation is met.
Hull currently have Lewie Coyle and Cody Drameh as their recognised right-backs. Jakirovic is keen to strengthen both flanks, with experienced defender Matt Targett also on the Tigers' radar.
