Hull City are back in the Premier League and the club look to be wasting no time in recruiting new talent in their bid to remain in the top flight.
Sergej Jakirovic's Tigers will need to bring in some real talent to aid them in their fight against relegation, however Hull face competition in their pursuit of one of their top targets.
Bournemouth are reportedly rivalling Hull in the transfer market for the player; the Cherries have recruited admirably in recent years and the south coast club will need more additions for their Europa League campaign next season.
Italian Marca journalist Matteo Moretto reports that Hull and Bournemouth are among the clubs chasing Elche forward Alvaro Rodriguez this summer.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a notable campaign in La Liga last season, netting seven goals and supplying five assists, despite his club finishing 15th in the Spanish top flight.
Rodriguez came through the famed Real Madrid youth academy and has represented both Spain and Uruguay at international youth level.
Operating mainly as a lone striker throughout his career, the 21-year-old will likely be physically suited to the Premier League, standing at 6ft 4in and possessing great pace and aerial ability.
The asking price of around £19m is a hefty outlay, but nothing too straining for a Premier League budget, and could pay dividends in the future if Rodriguez enjoys a breakout campaign next season.
