What time is Matthew Hudson-Smith running in the men's 400m at the European Athletics Championships and how to watch

The poster boy for the UK's first staging of the European Athletics Championships, Matthew Hudson-Smith will be hoping to emerge victorious in front of a stand named after him at the Alexander Stadium.

Local hero Hudson-Smith grew up just a short drive up the M6 in Wolverhampton and began his career with Birchfield Harriers Athletics Club, who are based at the Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr, Birmingham.

The sixth fastest athlete of all-time over 400 metres, the 31-year-old is targeting a third European Championship gold and arrives into the event in red-hot form, having clocked a world-leading 44.09s this season.
