There are no fewer than five Group races on Friday’s card at Newmarket including the Group 1 bet365 Fillies’ Mile at 14:57.

It often pays to be on the front end at Newmarket, particularly on the Rowley Mile Course and one horse that may be capable of getting his own way up front is Fast Track.
Andrew Balding’s filly has been progressing all season and took another step forward when beaten just a length in a bunched finish at Doncaster last time out.
That’s a run worth marking up given that she was pestered for the lead throughout that contest and ended up setting some unsustainable fractions, so getting as close as she did is noteworthy with less opposition for the lead in this contest.
This filly had been knocking on the door in good races prior to that run, has champion jockey Oisin Murphy back in the saddle and her yard will be leaving no stone unturned over the next week or so in a bid for a first trainer’s title.
With bet365 offering an extra place on the race and a standout price of 9/1, she can be supported each-way.
16:10 Newmarket - Zen Diva @ 6/1
Ralph Beckett’s horses often come good at the back end of the season and this year has been no exception with the yard running at a 23% strike-rate over the last fortnight.
His sole representative for the 6f Listed contest is Zen Diva, who has won four of her last five starts with this season’s only disappointment coming at Glorious Goodwood when drawn on the wrong side and possibly not handling the track.
She hasn’t looked back since, with back-to-back wins at Salisbury, and she was well backed for her latest outing in a competitive handicap off a mark of 90.
She’s another selection that may be able to gain an uncontested lead and she’s the sort of filly that will go on progressing for these connections.
16:45 Newmarket - On Message @ 8/1
Beckett also has an interesting runner in the 1m2f fillies’ and mares’ Group 3 35 minutes later.
On Message has some notable form this season, mixing it with Inis Mor and Earth Shot earlier in the campaign before bouncing back to form in Listed class at Salisbury last month when beating Miss Scott.
That form could hardly have worked out any better with Miss Scott winning a Group 3 before going on to Group 1 success in the Opera on Arc weekend.
On Message’s only subsequent run was a fourth at Windsor but that effort is worth putting a line through given that the winner got an easy time up front and On Message certainly wasn’t seen to best effect that day.
She’s just the type to bounce back and looks like a big player with Rossa Ryan back in the saddle.
