There are five meetings scheduled across Britain and Ireland on Friday and the pick of the action comes from Aintree, where there are seven races to get stuck into.
Racing Post tipster, Adrian Wall, has provided three recommendations for the action on Merseyside.
13:15 Aintree - Stride On @ 9/2
14:25 Aintree - Royal Infantry @ 6/4
15:00 Aintree - JPR One @ 7/2
13:15 Aintree - Stride On @ 9/2
Both Corach Rambler and Giovinco won the 3m1f novice handicap chase for Lucinda Russell in recent years and the yard may have another up-and-coming type to keep a close eye on in the form of Stride On, who is making his handicap and chase debut on his return to action at Aintree.
A Newcastle bumper winner in January 2025, it took the son of Walk In The Park a bit of time to find his feet last season, but he really impressed when landing a 2m3½f Ayr maiden hurdle by 17 lengths in February, jumping like a buck and doing it well from the front.
Stride On only found the well-regarded Apache Tribe too strong in a 2m5½f Ayr novice at the end of the season, but he's a brother to Listed chase winner Kiltealy Park so there's every chance he will improve now tackling fences.
14:25 Aintree - Royal Infantry @ 6/4
Even Dan Skelton couldn't get a win out of Royal Infantry from seven attempts last season but the formerly frustrating seven-year-old won a three-runner 2m4f beginners' chase at Hexham in style on his return, which should give him the confidence to land the 3m1f novice chase.
Granted, he didn't beat a whole lot on the day, but former Grade 2-winning hurdler Jeriko Du Reponet was in second and if Harry Skelton is allowed to dictate matters from the front with just two rivals to take care of, he might not be for stopping.
15:00 Aintree - JPR One @ 7/2
JPR One carried 12st to victory on his return in a 2m handicap chase at Cheltenham last month and, despite going up another 3lb and now rated 161, he may have the class to overcome another big weight in the 2m Grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup Handicap Chase.
A winner of this race at Exeter in 2024 and third in last year's renewal, he won the Scottish Champion Chase at Musselburgh in January before creditable fourths in both the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham and Melling Chase at Aintree.
JPR One was narrowly touched off in the Celebration Chase at Sandown and he will ensure that if he is to be beaten, the winner will have to work hard to do so.
