It may be worth chancing the return to Galway prompting a resurgence from PIVOTAL ATTACK in the Corrib Fillies’ Stakes.
It has been a trying season for trainer Joe Murphy as he remains without a winner from 58 runners, but Pivotal Attack has run well a couple of times, and she gave the impression she was coming to hand when fourth to the reopposing Meriden in the Cairn Rouge Stakes last time.
The mile trip appeared to stretch Pivotal Attack’s stamina range in that, just as it did in the Irish 1,000 Guineas on her previous outing when she was flying too high.
She looks a big price in relation to old foe Black Caviar Gold as she’s finished in front of that filly on two of the three occasions they have met over 7f, including when she bolted up in her maiden over course and distance effort at the last Galway festival (the top-class Amelia Earhart was second).

The Guinness Novice Hurdle looks a superb opportunity for MIDNIGHT JET to collect a decent prize for Henry de Bromhead.
The five-year-old is related to top-class chaser Marine Nationale and he has made a bright start to his career.
He posted a Racing Post Rating of 120 when scoring on his bumper debut at Killarney last May (a big figure for a bumper winner) and he has been seriously progressive over hurdles.
He failed to live up to market expectations on his first two hurdles starts in the winter, but a three-month break did him the world of good as he broke his duck in a 25-runner affair at Fairyhouse (form has worked out well) before he ran out an even more convincing winner at Killarney under a penalty.
The horse he beat, Columbus, was top class on the Flat and strongly supported on his first start for Willie Mullins, so that was a decent effort from Midnight Jet.
He has achieved a lot more than his chief market rival Roc Dino and can dominate this under Darragh O’Keeffe.
16:30 Galway - Solness @ 14/1
The Galway Hurdle is the feature on day four at Ballybrit and SOLNESS can take advantage of an 11lb lower hurdles mark.
This looks a typically astute piece of placing by Joseph O’Brien as Solness is a top-class chaser with limited tries over hurdles, and this is a winnable race.
Solness beat Marine Nationale in a Leopardstown Grade 1 over Christmas and he made Grey Dawning sweat in the Melling Chase over a longer trip three starts ago, before he bounced from that massive effort in the Celebration at Sandown.
While Solness must translate those superb performances to hurdles, there must be every chance he can.
He defeated the classy Colonel Mustard on his only hurdles start since 2022 in a conditions race at Sligo 21 months ago, and he undoubtedly retains all his ability.
Solness’s recent comeback in a Curragh maiden, a race in which he was ridden differently when he was keeping on for fourth under tender handling from regular rider JJ Slevin, rates the perfect prep. He could be thrown in and perhaps a long-term plan will come to fruition.
