There are three jumps cards in Britain on Sunday but the big meeting is the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh, which gets underway at 13:45, and includes three other Group races as well as the Classic which is off at 16:30.
Racing Post tipster Gary Savage has three tips for the action at the Curragh, including an each-way play in the big race.
14:45 Curragh - Prevalence @ 10/3
15:20 Curragh - City Of Memphis @ 3/1
16:30 Curragh - Magny Cours @ 25/1
14:45 Curragh - Prevalence @ 10/3
This fillies handicap for three-year-olds has thrown up plenty of smart performers, including future US Grade One scorer Viadera for Juddmonte and Ger Lyons, and they team up with another likely improver in thrice-raced Prevalence.
Not only did connections take this contest with Viadera in 2019, but they had the narrow runner-up Juncture in 2022, who happens to be a full sister to the selection.
That one had previously run in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, and was beaten at the Curragh off a mark of 98, so it’s fair to say that her sister, with only three low-key starts to date, has taken longer to come to hand.
As a result of that, she will run off a lenient looking 83, and her seasonal debut over seven furlongs at the track was full of promise.
She was sent off at 11/1 and ran keenly for much of the contest, very much like a filly still learning the job, and looked like she would drop away when coming under a ride entering the final two furlongs.
That it was greenness that was holding her back was evident when she picked up the bit for her jockey's urgings entering the final furlong, and she finished the race off better than anything else.
Entitled to improve both for that seasonal debut and for having only her fourth start, and with her breeding strongly hinting that this race will suit her, she can take this before going on to higher things.
15:20 Curragh - City Of Memphis @ 3/1
Paddy Twomey has specialised in top-class fillies and mares for a few years now, and, from only four representatives, has won this race twice in the last four years, as well as saddling the runner-up last year.
One Look returns to try and go one better, but it is her seasonal return and this is best left to stable companion City Of Memphis who has looked impressive in winning her two starts this season.
They are only the third and fourth starts as a late beginning to her career last May was followed by only one more run when she was fifth in the Irish 1000 Guineas behind Lake Victoria.
To be able to run a race as promising as that in Group One company less than 20 days after seeing a racecourse for the first time was impressive and, despite an absence of 11 months, she has looked ready to fulfil that promise this year.
A straightforward win at Gowran from some decent rivals, was followed by a convincing display in a Group Three at Leopardstown, where she always had matters in hand and scored comfortably from three of these rivals.
She has already won on soft and good ground this year, useful when drying conditions mean we are not sure what conditions will be like by Sunday, and with only four starts under her belt but a high level achieved already, she will take all the beating.
16:30 Curragh - Magny Cours @ 25/1
Coolmore obviously hold the key to this contest with the two highest-rated fillies in Precise and True Love heading the betting, but with the latter of those looking impressive at Newmarket and now clear favourite for this, it could pay to back the one who has got closest to her this year in Magny Cours.
This could be a breakout moment for rookie trainer Daniel McLoughlin, and this filly, who helped to put the stable on the map when running in lots of decent races as a juvenile, showed she has trained on in her only start of the year.
That race, the Priory Belle at Leopardstown, has been a key trial for this in recent years, and her trainer would no doubt have been delighted with her run there, when she finished only a length and a quarter behind True Love.
She looked like she was ridden to get the trip that day as she was switched off out the back and still had 10 in front of her with two furlongs to run before powering home to catch all bar the classy winner.
The way she finished that race off, at least keeping tabs with the more-prominently-ridden True Love over the final furlong and a half, she looked as though she would relish the extra furlong she will get in the Guineas and she can spring a minor surprise.
