In cricket history, 14 English bowlers are responsible for 15 of the 49 Test match hat-tricks.
Australians are responsible for the second most hat-tricks in Test history with 12.
But has there ever been a hat-trick in the Ashes? Yes, there have actually been eight hat-tricks in Ashes cricket, and the first three hat-tricks in Test cricket all came when England and Australia met back in the 19th century.
English fans less inclined to pull the all-nighters required to watch the Ashes Down Under won't have seen an Ashes hat-trick live in their lifetimes, though.
Indeed, the last Ashes hat-trick on English soil was all the way back in 1899, when Jack Hearne took a trio of Australians.
The most recent Ashes hat-trick was from Peter Siddle at the Gabba in 2010 -- incidentally on his birthday -- when Alastair Cook, Matt Prior and Stuart Broad all fell, with the last English bowler to take a hat-trick being Darren Gough back in 1999 at the SCG.
Interestingly, eight of the nine hat-tricks were taken in Australia, and five of them were at the MCG.
Take a look at the full list of Ashes hat-tricks below.
