LIV Golf Korea Prediction and Tips

The LIV Golf Tour heads to South Korea this week, with the Asiad County Club the venue for the eighth tournament of the season.

Jon Rahm leads the LIV Golf standings after claiming two tournament wins already this season and the Spaniard will start this week’s event in Busan as the favourite.

Bryson DeChambeau was the winner in Korea last year, but his form will be a concern to many going into the 2026 event, which will be played over four rounds and on a brand new course.

LIV Golf Korea Prediction

Best Bet - Joaquin Niemann each-way @ 10/1

After no fewer than five tournament wins last season, Joaquin Niemann has made a slower start to 2026, but there have been better signs in recent weeks.

The Chilean claimed a T8 finish at the last LIV event, in Virginia earlier this month, despite making a slow start to the tournament.

Niemann was just three-under-par at the halfway stage and then flew up the leaderboard over the course of the weekend, after carding 67 on Saturday and followed that up with a final round 65.

Clearly full of confidence following those back-to-back rounds, Niemann also contended at the US PGA Championship.

Two sub-70 rounds, including a 66 on day three, saw the 27-year-old claim a top-20 finish at Aronimink - only his third top-20 spot in 27 Major appearances.

Niemann now heads to a tournament where he finished tied-20th in the 2025 event, despite a frustrating +1 final round.

Alternative Bet - Cameron Smith each-way @ 22/1

Many people were starting to fear that Cameron Smith’s career could dwindle and we would never see the Australian challenge for Major titles again.

But Smith fans will be buoyed by the signs over the last month, with the former Open champion starting to make progress.

The man from Queensland has not won a LIV tournament since August 2023 and decided last month to part ways with Grant Field, who had been his coach since childhood.

Prior to the PGA Championship, Smith teamed up with Claude Harmon III as his new swing coach and it seems to have made an immediate impact.

The Aussie finished T7 at Aronimink, carding three sub-70 rounds to finish five shots behind winner Aaron Rai - that came after missing the cut at the last six Majors.

Smith now heads to a tournament that he performed well in last year, finishing T7 on eight-under-par in Korea.

Alternative Bet - Matthew Wolff each-way @ 45/1

Matthew Wolff looks to have been given a new lease of life after a troubled first few years on the LIV and now looks a genuine contender again.

The American has not won a tournament since back in 2019 and is still looking for his first win on the LIV Tour, having joined in 2022.

Wolff’s renewed confidence is clear to see and he can build on a T5 finish at LIV Mexico City when he heads to Busan this week.

The former US Open runner up finished sixth in Korea last year, with a final round 67 helping to a -9 total.
