The DP World Tour continues its European stretch this week, with the Austrian Open the next tournament on the calendar.
After a three-year absence, the event returned in 2025 with Germany’s Nicolai von Dellingshausen taking the title.
Last year’s tournament was played in Salzburg but moves to a new venue in 2026, the Golfclub Kitzbuhel-Schwarzsee-Reith.
A strong field will tee it up in Kitzbuhel, including home favourite Sepp Straka, who is looking to become the third Austrian to win this event.
Best Bet - Bernd Wiesberger each-way @ 35/1
Alternative Bet - Eugenio Chacarra each-way @ 25/1
Alternative Bet - Marcus Kinhult each-way @ 100/1
Best Bet - Bernd Wiesberger each-way @ 35/1
A lot of eyes will be on Straka this week, but his fellow countryman Bernd Weisberger looks more likely to take top spot on Sunday.
The 40-year-old is a nine-time winner on the DP World Tour, with his latest success coming at the Volvo China Open in April.
Wiesberger is inside the top-20 in the Race to Dubai standings and has been in outstanding form since March.
A T14 finish at the South African Open was followed by a T12 spot at the Joburg Open, before winning in China two events later.
The Austrian has not taken his foot off the gas since that win, with two top-15 finishes since then and although he missed the cut at the PGA Championship, expect another big showing this week.
It’s also worth noting that Wiesberger sits inside the top-30 on the DP World Tour for Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation stats.
Alternative Bet - Eugenio Chacarra each-way @ 25/1
Another man heading into the Austrian Open in good form is Eugenio Chacarra, who is just one place behind Wiesberger in the Tour standings.
The Spaniard has accumulated one top-five, one top-10 and two top-20 finishes since the start of 2026 and it seems a matter of time before he is in the winner’s circle again.
Chacarra finished the Soudal Open with a Sunday 65, the joint-second lowest final day score, which saw him sneak into a tie for 22nd.
The man from Madrid is one of the longest hitters on Tour, with an average driving distance of 312.82 yards, whilst also sitting in the top-50 for Stroke Average and Greens in Regulation.
It might have been at a different course, but Chacarra also shone in Austria last year, after finishing in the top-30.
Alternative Bet - Marcus Kinhult each-way @ 100/1
The lowest round of the final round at last week’s Soudal Open came from Marcus Kinhult, who carded a Sunday 64 to see him finish in a tie for second.
Since March, the Swede has not missed a cut on the DP World Tour and has moved into the top 65 of the Race to Dubai rankings.
Kinhult is inside the top-100 on Tour for Greens in Regulation, Sand Saves and Putts per Gir so far this season.
The 29-year-old, who has been under par in four of his last five rounds, will be looking to become the second Swede to win this title after Mikael Lundberg’s success in 2014.
The Golfclub Kitzbuhel-Schwarzsee-Reith offers stunning alpine scenery, with the par-72 course measuring in at 6,104 metres.
Two Austrians have previously won their home Open - Bernd Wiesberger (2012) and Markus Brier (2002, 2004, 2006).
Two South Africans - Jayden Schaper and Casey Jarvis - are inside the top five on the Race to Dubai standings.
Nine different nationalities have been successful on the DP World Tour this season.
Only one of the top-seven players at last week’s Soudal Open carded a round over 70 - Denmark’s Jeff Winther.
Japan’s Kota Kaneko - 40/1 to win this week - leads the Tour in ‘Putting - Strokes Gained’ with an average of 1.58.
