Gameweek 3 of the Fantasy Premier League season commences when Ipswich Town welcome Liverpool to Portman Road on Friday night.
Erling Haaland and Bruno Fernandes' heroics rewarded a number of managers with 100+ point tallies in gameweek 2, and Manchester City's home contest against Coventry City, Brentford's Gtech fixture against Sunderland and Liverpool's trip to face newly promoted Ipswich could bring about another high-scoring gameweek.
We've taken a look at the FPL assets that you should be looking to buy, hold and sell ahead of the gameweek 3 deadline at 18:30 on Friday 4th September.

Yoane Wissa - NEW (£6.1m)
Fixture: Bournemouth (H)
Ownership: 8.8%
Yoane Wissa looks like an entirely different player under the stewardship of Matthias Jaissle, and if there was ever a time to buy him, it would be now.
In just two gameweeks the Newcastle forward has already levelled his goal involvement tally from the 2025/26 campaign, assisting in the Magpies' 2026/27 opener against Liverpool and finding the net in acrobatic fashion against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
Newcastle have a favourable run of fixtures on the horizon -- including back-to-back contests against newly promoted duo Hull City and Coventry City in gameweek 5 and 6 -- and Wissa looks a steal at just £6.1m.
Maxim De Cuyper - BHA (£4.7m)
Fixture: Leeds United (H)
Ownership: 15.5%
Luka Vuskovic's DEFCON potential vs Maxim De Cuyper's attacking threat. That was the debate when assessing Brighton's defensive options before the gameweek 1 deadline.
You could argue that De Cuyper settled the debate less than 45 minutes into the Seagulls' opener against Aston Villa, scoring, assisting and recording a monstrous 17-point haul.
There's nothing not to like about a £4.7m left-back playing at left-wing, and you should be picking him up before his price surges even more.

Florian Wirtz - LIV (£7.5m)
Fixture: Ipswich Town (A)
Ownership: 10.1%
Florian Wirtz recorded his first assist of the season when Liverpool drew 2-2 against Nottingham Forest last weekend, but it's not quite the return that owners were hoping for given his £7.5m price tag.
With that said, you could argue that two of the Reds' toughest opening fixtures in Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are out of the way, while upcoming contests against Ipswich Town and Fulham -- both of whom are amongst the teams with the highest xG conceded so far in the 2026/27 campaign -- should represent opportunities for the £116m German to add to his tally.
If Wirtz fails to impress at Portman Road, then equally priced Morgan Rogers looks like the ideal replacement ahead of gameweek 4.
Bryan Mbeumo - MUN (£8.0m)
Fixture: Everton (A)
Ownership: 29.2%
While the temptation may be to move Bryan Mbeumo on to accommodate for a Manchester City midfield asset, there should be no immediate rush to offload the Cameroonian after getting on the scoresheet for Manchester United against Ipswich.
After a tough end to the 2025/26 campaign, Mbeumo's audacious lob at Old Trafford in gameweek 2 should give him the confidence to find momentum in a United attack that looked relentless in the second half last weekend.
Like Wirtz, an inability to impress against Everton this weekend will naturally see managers seek replacements ahead of gameweek 4, but there's nothing to suggest that he wont be able to make a difference at the Hill Dickinson after recording a 2.08 xG in the opening two weekends, the third highest in the league behind Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro.

Harry Maguire - MUN (£5.0m)
Fixture: Everton (A)
Ownership: 14.8%
Harry Maguire was selected in a number of managers' teams due to his DEFCON upside and United's opening two fixtures against Ipswich Town and Hull City.
The Red Devils failed to keep clean sheets in both games, while Maguire failed to reach the DEFCON threshold in both games, and so it feels like the right time to sell the £5m defender.
From De Cuyper at £4.7m to Lewis Hall at £5.1m, there's an abundance of defenders in and around Maguire's price range who boast a significantly higher points ceiling.
Christos Tzolis - ARS (£6.5m)
Fixture: Chelsea (H)
Ownership: 21.3%
Christos Tzolis owners were no doubt encouraged by the Greek's gameweek 1 performance against Coventry City -- where he assisted and proved a threat throughout -- but he went from hero to zero with his performance against Aston Villa.
After struggling to get the better of Matty Cash and going into the referee's book, Tzolis was hooked at half time and there are concerns amongst owners that Mikel Arteta may opt to start Eberechi Eze at left-wing when Arsenal welcome Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
