Seen by many as the most important chip in Fantasy Premier League, the right use of the Wildcard can undoubtedly change the course of your season.
Giving you the opportunity to map out a sustained strategy if your squad is performing poorly, the Wildcard gives you the chance to make drastic changes to the outlook of your team.
Below, we tell you everything you need to know about the fundamental FPL chip...
The Wildcard chip allows managers to make unlimited transfers in a single gameweek at no cost. Your team will not revert to it's old version once the gameweek concludes and any transfers made during you wildcard are final.
Managers can play the Wildcard twice in one season, with the first chip available to use between Gameweek 1 and Gameweek 19. Meanwhile, the second chip is available from Gameweek 20 onwards.
The chip can not be cancelled once played, and you will not be able to activate any other chips (Free Hit, Triple Captain, Bench Boost) in the same gameweek that you have activated your wildcard.
Any saved transfers prior to activating the Wildcard are retained for the following gameweek, a rule that was introduced prior to the start of the 2024/25 season.
