Wales v Ghana Prediction: 13/8 Moore to help down Black Stars

Ghana have just one more friendly before heading to the World Cup when they make the trip to the Cardiff City Stadium to take on Wales.

Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz was only appointed in April and he will have had just two matches at the helm prior to the start of this summer's major tournament.

His sole previous game in charge ended in a 2-0 loss to Mexico in a friendly last month and life is unlikely to get any easier when going up against Wales, who will be desperate to give their supporters something to cheer about after missing out on a place at the World Cup.

Wales v Ghana Tips Summary

Best Bet - Wales to win @ 19/20
Alternative Bet - Kieffer Moore anytime goalscorer @ 13/8
Bet Builder - Under 3 goals, Half with most goals - first & Nathan Broadhead anytime goalscorer @ 33/1

Wales v Ghana

Wales v Ghana Prediction

Best Bet: Wales to win @ 19/20

Ghana preparations for the World Cup have been less than ideal and there seems to be a real disjointed feel about the team on the eve of the global event.

Head coach Otto Addo was sacked on 31st March after friendly defeats by Germany and Austria, with former Manchester United assistant Queiroz confirmed as his replacement in April.

A 2-0 defeat to Mexico in his first match in charge in May highlights the challenge ahead for the 73-year-old, whose side face England, Croatia and Panama in Group L.

Ghana need to get a bit of flow into their game but they could find that difficult to do against Wales, who are unbeaten in their last four matches in normal time and thrashed North Macedonia 7-1 during this run.

That sublime victory came in Cardiff and while a scoreline that big is not expected, the Dragons should have enough in their ranks to pick up another home success.

Ghana have lost their last five away fixtures, going down to Japan, South Korea, Austria, Germany and Mexico, and that poor run could be extended to six on Tuesday.

Alternative Bet: Kieffer Moore anytime goalscorer @ 13/8

Kieffer Moore enjoyed a solid debut season for Wrexham, scoring 13 goals and registering five assists in 42 appearances, and he can transfer that form onto the international stage.

The 33-year-old forward found the back of the net twice and notched one assist in his last three World Cup 2026 qualifiers and he looks capable of adding to his goals tally at the expense of Ghana.

Wales v Ghana Bet Builder Tip

  • Under 3 goals

  • Half with most goals - first

  • Nathan Broadhead anytime goalscorer

    Pays 33/1

With three of Wales' last four matches producing under three goals and three of Ghana's last five away contests going under this mark, this could be a low-scoring affair in Cardiff.

If the goals are to come, the first half could see the most.

With plenty of changes expected from both sides as the match goes on, the chances of a more disjointed performance in the second half increases and the best football may come in the opening 45 minutes.

Nathan Broadhead scored eight goals for Wrexham this season and he has been in good scoring touch for his country, netting twice in his last four appearances for Wales.
