Venezuela and Turkey meet in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday evening in what is the first ever meeting between the two nations.
The South Americans didn’t qualify for the World Cup – still the only nation from their continent to never make an appearance at the finals – as they finished eighth in the table.
This will be Turkey’s first World Cup since 2002, a competition in which the European side remarkably finished third.
Turkey lost just one of their eight qualifying matches and that came against the reigning European champions, Spain, in September.

Best Bet: Turkey to win @ 1/2
Turkey defeated North Macedonia 4-0 on Monday, setting them up nicely for their final warm-up game before the World Cup begins.
That was Turkey’s sixth victory in their last seven assignments and head coach Vincenzo Montella will be keen to maintain this excellent record heading into the major tournament.
Taking on a Venezuelan side who have won only twice in the previous 12 months looks like a perfect opportunity for the Crescent-Stars to chalk up another win.
Alternative Bet: Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5
Turkey will be looking for another goal-laden performance ahead of their World Cup opener against Australia on 14th June.
Since the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign, there have been three or more goals in six of Turkey’s nine fixtures.
A total of 35 goals were scored across those nine games, averaging at 3.9 goals per match.
Three of Venezuela’s last seven matches have gone over the 2.5-goals mark, while the South Americans finished World Cup qualifying with the second-worst defensive record out of all 10 teams.

Montella’s side impressed against North Macedonia on Monday, with four different players getting on the scoresheet.
The Italian tactician has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal, especially with Arda Guler making a substitute appearance during the second half.
The Real Madrid star suffered an injury towards the end of the club season, but he could be unleashed from the start against Venezuela.
Another player to keep an eye on is Deniz Gul, who started against North Macedonia and grabbed his second international goal early in the second half.
While Montella may make several changes to his starting XI, the Porto forward should still play a significant part during the match and he will be aiming to impress once more.
Turkey were awarded 13 corners in their last game, with North Macedonia winning just one.
In five of their eight qualifiers, Turkey also won more corners than their opponents.
Only twice in their last five matches have Venezuela won more corners than their opponents and given the gap in quality, expect the Europeans to be on the attack constantly in Fort Lauderdale.
