Tre Fiori v Larne Prediction: Larne 7/2 to cruise past Tre Fiori

Larne are bidding to qualify for Europe for the second time in three seasons and they are the clear favourites to see off Tre Fiori in UEFA Champions League qualifying.

The NIFL Premiership champions reached the league phase of the Conference League in 2024/25 and fell just short in 2025/26 as they lost to Portugal's Santa Clara in the third qualifying round.

Tre Fiori were crowned champions of San Marino for the ninth time last season but have never made an impact in Europe.

They have been involved in 11 qualifying ties over the course of their history, but they have won just four games and have never reached the main draw.

Alternative Bet - Larne to win 2-0 @ 11/2

Tre Fiori v Larne

Tre Fiori v Larne Prediction

Best Bet - Larne -1 handicap @ 4/6

Larne enjoyed an exceptional domestic season last term, claiming the Irish Premiership title for the third time in four seasons with an impressive haul of 83 points from 38 games.

Gary Haveron's side reached the league phase of the Conference League in the 2024/25 season and picked up one win.

Last season, they enjoyed strong results in qualifying for the third-tier competition, winning their ties against Latvia's Auda and Kosovo's Prishtina.

Larne were ultimately eliminated in qualifying by Portuguese outfit Santa Clara, but they drew the away leg 0-0, and they look a few levels above their hosts on Tuesday.

Tre Fiori were thumped 5-1 on aggregate by Armenia's Pyunik in Conference League qualifying last season.

They also lost their only previous meeting with Northern Irish opposition, going down 2-0 to Linfield in a one-off UEFA Champions League game in 2020.

Larne have enjoyed a solid pre-season already and they edged out a strong Coleraine side on penalties in the NIFL Charity Shield on Friday.

That clash with Coleraine was viewed as a warm-up game for this European tie and Larne look strong enough to cover a -1 handicap against their hosts in Serravalle.

Alternative Bet - Larne to win 2-0 @ 11/2

Larne may be capable of winning by a big margin and virtually putting the tie to bed, but Tre Fiori are more likely to employ a containing strategy.

A 2-0 win for the visitors is a possibility, a result which would put Larne in a commanding position to qualify, with next Tuesday's second leg taking place in Northern Ireland.

Tre Fiori are facing a higher standard of opposition than they are used to, but they have lost only one of their last 11 games and conceded just seven goals during that run.

The Sammarinese outfit have not conceded more than twice since a 5-0 defeat to Pyunik last summer and are unbeaten in their last three European home games.

That suggests Tre Fiori can keep things on the right side of respectable and backing a 2-0 Larne win seems reasonable.

Tre Fiori v Larne Bet Builder Tip

  • Larne to win to nil

  • Larne to win by 2+ goals

  • First half result - draw

Pays 10/1

Larne look capable of winning by two or more goals and they should be able to keep a clean sheet.

The Antrim side kept Coleraine quiet on Friday and had two shut-outs in pre-season.

Larne also finished last season with three clean sheets and they have shipped just one goal across their last seven games, including friendlies.

Tre Fiori have a solid defensive record themselves as they conceded just one goal in their final six league games last season.

The hosts will set up to frustrate their visitors and keep things tight, and can go into the break level.

However, Larne have enough quality to pull away and win by two or more goals in the second half.
