It has been an eventful international break for Portugal, who can make it four wins from four in Group A4 of the UEFA Nations League when they welcome Norway to the Estadio do Dragao on Sunday.
On the pitch things could have hardly gone any better for the defending champions and their new head coach Jorge Jesus, with wins over Wales and Denmark coming either side of a 2-1 success in Norway just a week ago.
That victory in Oslo was achieved despite Jesus opting to leave Cristiano Ronaldo as an unused substitute, but the fallout from that decision has seen the talismanic captain leave the squad, throwing his international future into doubt.
Portugal coped well without Ronaldo as they put four past Denmark on Thursday night, but they will be facing a wounded animal in Norway, who after an opening win over the Danes, have now suffered back-to-back defeats in the group.
Norway also have their own talisman in Erling Haaland, who was kept quiet in defeat to Wales last time out, but has 65 goals in just 58 international appearances, the latest of which came against Portugal seven days ago.
Best Bet - Portugal to win and both teams to score @ 7/4
Alternative Bet - Joao Felix anytime scorer @ 6/5
Bet Builder - Over 3 goals, Erling Haaland 4+ shots, Ruben Dias 1+ shots & Martin Odegaard to be fouled 2+ times @ 15/2
Best Bet: Portugal to win and both teams to score @ 7/4
There was plenty of scrutiny on Portugal and, in particular, head coach Jesus following the departure from the squad of Ronaldo, but they put on a united front during Thursday's 4-2 success over Denmark.
Selecao das Quinas are now six points clear of the other three teams in the group and they can confirm their place in the quarter-finals with a victory in Porto.
Confidence should be high as Portugal have won nine of their last 13 games and their only defeat during that sequence came against Iberian rivals Spain at the World Cup.
That run also includes last week's 2-1 success in Norway and Portugal have a good overall record against their Scandinavian opponents, losing only one of their 11 previous meetings.
Norway did show plenty of attacking intent in the reverse fixture - firing off 22 shots to Portugal's 12 and having nearly three times as many touches in the opposition penalty area - and in Haaland they have a player who almost makes goals guaranteed.
Both teams have scored in each of Norway's last 11 matches and that run can continue on Sunday, but momentum is firmly with Portugal and they can make it four wins from four in the group.
Alternative Bet: Joao Felix anytime scorer @ 6/5
When Jesus was named successor to Roberto Martinez as Portugal head coach in the summer it was seen as good news for Ronaldo, with the pair having won the Saudi Pro League title together with Al Nassr last season.
That has not proved to be the case, but another member of that title-winning team, Joao Felix, has been thriving under his former club boss, scoring in all three games of this international break.
Felix grabbed the only goal of the game in the win over Wales, broke the deadlock in the reverse clash with Norway and rounded off the scoring against Denmark despite only entering that match as an 81st-minute substitute.
Given his form, Felix will expect to return to the starting XI on Sunday and he could well make it four goals in four games.
Over 3 goals
Erling Haaland 4+ shots
Ruben Dias 1+ shots
Martin Odegaard to be fouled 2+ times
Pays 15/2
Goals should be expected in Porto, with Portugal fresh from being involved in a six-goal thriller with Denmark, while both teams have scored in 11 Norway games in a row and five of those matches have featured a minimum of four goals.
Haaland will likely be involved in any goal-mouth action for Stale Solbakken's visitors, with the Nations League's all-time record scorer having fired off 15 shots in three matches during this international break, including eight in the reverse meeting with Portugal.
Backing the 26-year-old to have at least four shots appears a safe play, while his Manchester City team-mate Ruben Dias, who may well be tasked with stopping Haaland at one end, could also have an effort on goal at the other - he's managed four in his last three internationals.
Finally, Norway captain Martin Odegaard has attracted more than his fair share of attention from opposition players during this international break, as he has been fouled 10 times and could draw at least two more free kicks on Sunday.
