Netherlands v Sweden Prediction

Best Bet: Draw or Sweden Double Chance @ 11/10

The Draw or Sweden double chance seems hard to resist at odds against after watching the two teams' contrasting opening games.

Netherlands, who were fancied by some to make at least the semi-finals this summer, admittedly were minutes away from a hard-fought 2-1 win over a talented and hard-working Japan.

However, a late defensive lapse cost them, so Ronald Koeman's side know they must get something off Sweden next.

The Swedes, in contrast, are in dreamland after their stunning opening win.

A 5-1 rout of Tunisia saw a side tipped to struggle click nicely into gear and maybe this is a team that has been forgotten about, considering they do possess plenty of top talent.

Isak's injury-plagued debut season for Liverpool led many to believe the former Newcastle United man would fail to make much of an impact in the USA, Mexico and Canada this summer, but he scored one and got two assists to leave his critics scratching their heads.

If he can repeat that level of performance, Isak could yet be one of the stars of the tournament.

Gyokores, fresh from helping Arsenal win the title, also shone, while Ayari's two-goal haul grabbed the headlines and he, too, will now be a major threat against the Dutch.

There is a real temptation to suggest Sweden can even pull off a victory in Houston, but the safer play might be to side with them in the double chance market.

Alternative bet: Crysencio Summerville to score or assist @ 21/20

Crysencio Summerville was a livewire in the opener, scoring a fantastic goal and looking the most creative of the Dutch forwards.

Following his eye-catching display, rumours the West Ham man could be on his way to either Manchester United or even European champions Paris Saint-Germain when the club transfer window opens this summer began to filter through.

The Hammers forward looks sure to leave the London Stadium after their relegation and would do his chances of securing a lucrative move to one of the continent's biggest clubs later this summer no harm at all with another goal involvement against Sweden.

Selecting a player from either side to trouble the opponents' goalkeeper is the starting point for the Bet Builder, with Sweden's Isak and the Dutch's Malen taken to both have at least two shots on target.

Isak managed two shots on target in the opener in an all-round fine attacking display and the Liverpool man should be a menace to the Dutch defence as he attempts to silence clubmate Virgil van Dijk in Mexico.

Malen, meanwhile, also had two shots on target against Japan, and will be looking to add to his goal tally of 13 for the Dutch, so can at least match his shot-on-target tally in the second outing of the tournament.

Then, adding in both teams to score boosts the selection. This should be a keenly fought clash and they were both involved in games with goals at both ends in their first group games.
