Leicester City have been finding life tougher than expected in League One and are coming under massive pressure as they prepare to take on second-bottom Peterborough United at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
After back-to-back relegations, Leicester would have been hopeful of flourishing in the third tier., but they went through an unsettling summer and their much-changed squad has found it tough to churn out consistent performances and results.
Russell Martin’s side have won just two of seven league matches and they find themselves seven points adrift of leaders Plymouth Argyle and four points outside the play-off positions.
Leicester have shown flashes of their potential, including a 2-0 victory at home to Plymouth in early September, but they have had plenty of disappointing experiences, including miserable home defeats against Burton (1-2) and Oxford (0-4).
For the time being Leicester have decided against making a change in the dugout.
But Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony has opted for a different direction, bringing in former Leicester player Robbie Savage for his first EFL management post.
MacAnthony ran out of patience with Savage’s predecessor, Luke Williams, who presided over just one league victory, two draws and four defeats in the opening six weeks of the campaign.
Williams’s former assistant, Ryan Harley, was handed the reins for a short interim period and got a reasonable response with the Posh competing well in last month’s narrow 1-0 league loss away to Stockport.

Peterborough have underperformed in the early part of the season, but they have some talented attacking players and can begin life under Savage by taking at least a point at Leicester.
Savage took the Peterborough reins for the first time on Tuesday and steered them to a 4-1 victory at home to Ipswich Under-21s in the EFL Trophy.
His team will travel to Leicester with minimal expectations, but they can cause plenty of problems for the Foxes, who are struggling to strike the right balance between possession-based football and being effective in the penalty boxes.
Leicester’s latest setback in the league came three weeks ago, when they drew 1-1 away to a Barnsley side who had been reduced to 10 men by Luca Connell’s 26th-minute red card.
They have gone five matches without keeping a clean sheet and their defensive vulnerability could cost them against the Posh, who look overpriced to avoid defeat.
Alternative Bet: Peterborough to win @ 4/1
Peterborough would probably be happy enough with a share of the points, but they have a reasonable chance of collecting all three.
At their free-flowing best, the Posh are a tough team to contain.
They won 5-1 at Watford in the EFL Cup second round and could be ready to claim their second league win of the season.

Peterborough will be a lot more effective if they can get their star striker, Harry Leonard, scoring more regularly.
Leonard has netted just one goal in eight league appearances, but he has had 26 shots and accumulated an xG of 4.06.
The 23-year-old has previously scored plenty of goals in the third tier and he can break the deadlock this weekend, potentially setting the tone for a high-scoring away win.
Leicester could be in for a tough experience but they could be successful with regards to winning the most corners.
The Foxes tend to have a lot of possession and territory in their matches and that often translates to a high flag kick count with an average of 6.71 across their seven league fixtures.
Peterborough’s average corner tally stands at 5.25 and the difference in this area between themselves and Leicester may be about to increase.
