The ever-popular Season Handicap market returns ahead of the 2026/27 League One campaign.
Lincoln City were comfortable winners of the Season Handicap market in 2025/26 as Michael Skubala's Imps won the League One title with 103 points, taking their total tally to 123 points with their +20 handicap.
It promises to be another thrilling nine months of action in the third tier and Leicester City are the team with a target on their back as they start off scratch.
Sheffield Wednesday are conducting a major rebuild under the ownership of David Storch and the Owls are given a six-point start.
Luton Town will be looking to challenge for League One honours under Jack Wilshere's guidance in the upcoming season and the Hatters have a seven-point advantage, ahead of Huddersfield Town (+10) and Plymouth Argyle (+11).
MK Dons have conducted some fascinating business this summer, spending lavishly on Sam Nombe from Rotherham whilst acquiring Ryan Wintle, Charlie Goode and Dan Barlaser on free transfers. Paul Warne's side begin with a 13-point head start as they dream of achieving back-to-back promotions.
Last season's defeated play-off finalists Stockport County have a 14-point advantage along with Bradford City, who were also beaten by Bolton Wanderers at the semi-final stage of the post-season extravaganza.
Stevenage, who finished second in the Season Handicap standings last term, go off the same mark at +22 alongside Mansfield Town and Barnsley.
At the bottom end of the market, third tier debutants Bromley have been given a handicap start of 33 points. They are one of three teams to be handed a 30+ start alongside Burton Albion (+30) and AFC Wimbledon (+30).
For those new to the market, each team is assigned a points total which essentially acts as a head start for the season.
At the end of the campaign, each team’s handicap is added to their actual points total, and whoever finishes with the most points wins.
Keep in mind, the team you back must finish above all other teams after all handicaps have been added.
