After missing out on a top-four finish last season, both Juventus and AC Milan are targeting stronger seasons this time around.
Juve’s first full season under Luciano Spalletti has seen them win two from two, while Milan have also made a perfect start under Ruben Amorim.
The pair face their first true test of the season on Sunday, as the Rossoneri travel to Turin.

Best Bet: AC Milan or draw double chance @ 7/10
Juventus have yet to concede in Serie A this term, after victories over Frosinone and Parma. They remain a solid side at the back, but questions remain about how well-equipped they are at the other end of the pitch.
They shipped out Lois Openda immediately after his loan move was made permanent this summer, with the striker struggling in Serie A last season. However, their choice of replacement was Randal Kolo Muani, who scored once for Tottenham in the Premier League last term.
Juve look a little lightweight in attacking midfield, and they’re set to face a Milan side who are adapting to Amorim’s dynamic style. He’s gone straight back to his 3-4-3 system, which the Rossoneri look well-suited to.
Milan beat Torino and Venezia in their first two matches, scoring twice in each. Their club record signing of Goncalo Ramos gives them some real bite in attack, while Amorim’s has a solid backline to call upon.
The Rossoneri have got to grips with Amorim’s approach quite quickly, and they can prove that in this visit to Juventus. Missteps in the market continue to limit Juve’s prospects, so back Milan to avoid defeat in this trip.
Alternative Bet: 1-1 Draw @ 5/1
Juventus drew 12 times in Serie A last season, and seven of those came at home. While they’ve made a positive start, they weren’t exactly tested defensively by Frosinone or Parma, but this Milan side will pack more of a punch going forward.
Juve’s biggest attacking threat this term has been Douglas Luiz, and their issues in attack suggest they’ll struggle to get the better of Milan.
Four of the last six meetings between these sides have finished level, while they were split by a single point last term. The two sides drew 0-0 home and away last season, but Milan’s decision to replace Max Allegri with Amorim should make this season’s encounters a little more open.
Juve shared four 1-1 draws at home last season, and a repeat of that scoreline stands out at 5/1.
Douglas Luiz 1+ shot on target
Alphadjo Cisse 1+ shot on target
Douglas Luiz to be booked

While Juve look a little short in attack, Douglas Luiz has an eye for goal from midfield. The Brazilian has taken nine shots across his first two matches, and he had two efforts on target last time out.
For Milan, Alphadjo Cisse looks on course for a breakout year after playing for Catanzaro in Serie B last season. He netted six times in the second tier, and he’s starting as one of the two advanced midfielders behind Ramos in Amorim’s 3-4-3.
Ramos has taken 13 shots across two games, with Cisse next up with five. He scored in their victory at Torino, and he can impress in Turin once again.
Luiz will have to do his share of work defensively, and he’s already committed eight fouls in two matches. He is now a fixture in the starting 11 for the first time since 2023/24, and he was shown 12 yellow cards in that campaign.
