Matt Gibbs
Right-back Christian Maggio is the top scoring defender in the Serie A since the turn of the century.
As well as representing the likes of Fiorentina and Sampdoria, Maggio is best known for his time at Napoli where he made 233 league appearances over the best part of a decade.
Maggio ended his career with a total of 32 Serie A goals, which puts him top of the list.

Centre-back Leonardo Bonucci is just behind Maggio on 29 Serie A goals, most of which came during his time at Juventus.
Former Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens also features prominently on the list, while Marco Materazzi and Theo Hernandez complete the top five.
