Everton v Ipswich Town Prediction: 9/4 for Toffees to double up again

Everton have made a solid unbeaten start to the season and they can head into the long international break with victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The Toffees sit ninth in the Premier League table, with six points from four games, while they approach Saturday's Hill Dickinson Stadium clash having seen off Wolves at home in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Ipswich will be fairly pleased with their start to life back in the top flight as they have gathered six points from their first four matches, too, although they were beaten in the League Cup, losing 4-2 at home to a much-changed Arsenal on Tuesday.

Everton v Ipswich Town Prediction

Best Bet - Everton to win and both teams to score @ 12/5

Everton boss David Moyes will be pleased his side have yet to taste defeat this season but he also knows only late equalisers against Bournemouth and Manchester United saved them.

However, alongside an opening-weekend win over Crystal Palace, the Blues have progressed past Championship pair Preston and Wolves in the League Cup, while they had chances to nick last weekend's goalless draw at Tottenham.

So if they can secure all three points against the Tractor Boys, there will be plenty of optimism around the Hill Dickinson Stadium going into the international break.

Ipswich's form upon their return to the Premier League has been mixed - Gary O'Neil's men have secured narrow wins over Sunderland and Crystal Palace but suffered defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Liverpool.

They have shown enough to suggest things will pan out better for them than in their last campaign in the top flight with last weekend's 3-2 success at Selhurst Park particularly pleasing.

This has the feel of a keenly-contested clash and the visitors, who have only failed to score in one of their six games in all competitions this season, can play their part by netting in defeat.

Alternative Bet - Everton exact goals - 2 @ 9/4

If Everton are to win this game, it seems likely they will need at least two goals and a punt on the hosts scoring exactly twice may be a good option.

Moyes' side have scored exactly two goals in their first two home league games this season and probably should have had two in midweek against Wolves as well, when they passed up several good goalscoring opportunities and in the end had to settle for Charly Alcaraz's strike.

Town have already shipped 10 goals in their first four matches so it would not be a shock to see them conceding another couple this weekend.

  • Leif Davis 1+ shots

Combining both teams to score with a total match goals range of between 1-4 is the first half of the Bet Builder in what is expected to be a tight clash at the Hill Dickinson.

Then add in a player from each side to contribute in the shots markets with Everton forward Thierno Barry, who should continue up front, fancied to have at least two shots - just like he has in each of his six appearances this season.

And Leif Davis can get forward from left-back to have at least one attempt in Merseyside for the visitors.

Davis already has two goals for Town this term and has racked up a total of five shots for O'Neil's side.
