Ipswich Town picked up their second Premier League win of the season in dramatic fashion as they toppled Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park.
Having triumphed on the opening weekend of the campaign with a 2-1 success over Sunderland, Ipswich were brought back down to Earth with a sobering 5-2 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford before Alexander Isak's quickfire double condemned the Tractor Boys to defeat at home to Liverpool.
Gary O'Neill's men fell behind to Anan Khalili's goal after 14 minutes on their visit to Croydon, but they responded nine minutes later through £26m signing Emersonn and their prospects were boosted when Palace defender Axel Disasi was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Jack Clarke.
Ipswich capitalised on their man advantage as Leif Davis struck on the stroke of half-time to give the visitors the lead at the interval.
Palace inevitably fought back, and Pierre Sage's men carved an equaliser through Jorgen Strand Larsen, but Ipswich rode the storm and they were rewarded for their persistence in the latter stages as substitute Zian Flemming found the back of the net in the closing stages.
Ipswich required 11 matches to reach six points on their previous visit to the Premier League, and the Tractor Boys have achieved that tally after four fixtures this time around.

Ipswich have now shifted to odds-against to be relegated from the Premier League this season.
The Tractor Boys spent lavishly in the summer, mimicing the recruitment drive of Sunderland in the previous year as they enhanced a number of key positions with top-flight experience from across Europe.

But for all of their acquisitions, some of the club's stalwarts are churning out performances, including productive left-back Davis, who was instrumental in Ipswich's success over Palace. Jack Clarke continues to be a menace from the flank, while Dara O'Shea and Jacob Greaves continue to be key components in defence.
