New Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage has hit a sticky patch and he will have been greatly relieved by the fact the Eagles grabbed a point in their Europa League tie with Hoffenheim by scoring an injury-time equaliser.
They face Liverpool, who had their own issues in Europe this week as they fell to a 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Fenerbahce, but the Reds head to Selhurst Park having won there on nine of their last 11 visits, so they will feel they can do the job against a team who have lost six of their opening nine Premier League games.
Best Bet - Under 2.5 goals @ 11/8
Alternative Bet - Yeremy Pino to be booked @ 3/1
Bet Builder - Liverpool to win, Alexander Isak 3+ shots & Daichi Kamada 2+ shots @ 8/1
Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals @ 11/8
Neither Crystal Palace nor Liverpool are in great form and both have a bit to prove when they meet at Selhurst Park on Sunday, so it may not be a game that is full of goals.
The home side have failed to find the net in four of their last five league games and needed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Hoffenheim on Thursday, while Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool were unable to muster a shot on target in last week’s 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal.
The Reds have scored more than twice in just one of their last 19 league games and with Palace struggling to find the net, there looks to be some value in backing there to be fewer than three goals at a ground where the visitors have won all but two of the last 11 meetings.
Alternative Bet: Yeremy Pino to be booked @ 3/1
Palace midfielder Yeremy Pino has been in the thick of the action lately and may come to the referee’s attention on Sunday.
He was booked in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim, which meant he has been cautioned in each of his last three Europa League appearances.
It was his fourth yellow card in his last six starts for Palace and he could have his name taken again when he faces the Reds.
Liverpool to win
Alexander Isak 3+ shots
Daichi Kamada 2+ shots

Crystal Palace are struggling for goals and while Liverpool have not quite hit the heights so far under their new manager, they should come away from south London with the points.
Selhurst Park has been an excellent hunting ground for the Merseysiders in the last decade and while they fell to defeat against Fenerbahce, it was the fifth time in six matches they have scored at least twice on their travels, so the goal-shy Eagles could be in for a difficult afternoon.
Reds striker Alexander Isak is beginning to look the part after his record transfer from Newcastle and he has scored six league goals this season while he also made his mark in Turkey on Thursday.
Goals could be at a premium in this match but Isak’s confidence looks to be at the sort of level where he will not be shy about trying his luck, so do not be surprised if the Swedish forward has at least three attempts on goal.
On the other side, expect Palace’s Daichi Kamada to be proactive in the attacking third too.
The Japanese midfielder came up with the goods by grabbing his side’s last-gasp equaliser against Hoffenheim on Thursday, which was his second goal of the Europa League campaign and fourth of the season.
The only time in his last eight appearances when he didn’t have a shot was the 5-0 defeat to Brighton and he can have more than one in Sunday’s encounter.
