Tottenham's survival rivals West Ham lost at Newcastle on Sunday so a positive result against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge would effectively seal Spurs's top-flight status.

They are two points clear of the relegation zone with two games remaining and their goal difference is 13 better than the Hammers.

That scenario means a draw at Chelsea would do nicely for Tottenham and they should be backed to avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues, under interim manager Calum McFarlane, lost 1-0 to Manchester City in Saturday's FA Cup final and they have slipped to 10th place in the league table.

The goals have dried up for Chelsea, who suffered five straight defeats to nil against Newcastle, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United and Brighton.
