Celta Vigo finished seventh in La Liga last season but have made a disappointing start to the new campaign, going winless in their first five matches.
They will look to pick up a first victory against newly promoted Malaga, who have taken just two points from their opening four games on their return to La Liga.
Best Bet - Under 2.5 goals @ 8/11
Alternative Bet - Carlos Chupete to have four or more shots @ 11/8
Bet Builder - Iago Aspas to have a shot on target, Yoel Lago to be shown a card and Willot Swedberg to win three or more fouls @ 14/1
Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals @ 8/11
Celta Vigo and Malaga’s struggles to start the new season have centred around issues in front of goal and, as a result, a low-scoring affair looks likely when the pair meet in this La Liga clash.
The hosts have only scored two goals in five games and racked up an expected goals figure of just 2.96. That was the second-lowest in the division before this weekend’s matches and Malaga have not been much better, netting just once from an expected goals figure of 4.39.
The newly promoted visitors have had a tough fixture list to start the new campaign, including humblings away to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, but their inability to score at home to Levante last time out was slightly concerning.
As for Celta Vigo, they badly need to rediscover their goalscoring touch after picking up just three points from their first five matches.
With both teams struggling badly going forward and showing few signs of turning things round, under 2.5 goals is the pick.
Alternative Bet: Carlos Chupete to have four or more shots @ 11/8
Much of Malaga’s attack in recent years has run through striker Carlos Chupete. He scored a whopping 24 goals as they were promoted from the second tier and has already opened his top-flight account.
The 22-year-old has taken four shots in his two of his last three games and looks a solid pick to repeat the trick against a Celta Vigo side who have allowed 64 attempts at goal in their five games this season.
Celta Vigo are still heavily reliant on veteran striker Iago Aspas, he leads the side in both shots and shots on target this season and is fancied for an attempt on goal in this one.
Celta defender Yoel Lago leads the team with seven fouls committed this term and he has already picked up his first yellow. A second could be forthcoming against the tricky Carlos Chupete.
The hosts’ Willot Swedberg has been fouled 11 times already this season at an average of 4.58 per 90 minutes. He looks set for at least three more.
