City head into the contest unbeaten in their opening four league matches, although only one of those has ended in victory, while they were also thumped 6-1 by Premier League Brentford in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Wolves are a point better off than their hosts but will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season after going down 4-2 at West Ham United on Tuesday night.
