Now that the small matter of the World Cup is all but done for audiences in the UK, sports fans can finally turn their attentions to more pressing matters on local shores.
This weekend sees the return of the much celebrated FishOMania, affectionately known as the 'FA Cup of Fishing'.
An expanded field of 30 anglers will descend on Westwood Lakes in Boston on Saturday, each hoping to land the £50,000 top prize.
Broadcast live to international audiences across the world, FishOMania is the biggest event in fishing and boasts a history of more than 30 years of competition.
The last three editions of FishOMania have all produced different debutant winners, including the 2025 champion Bradley Lucas who broke the record as youngest ever winner of the event.
Three-time champion Jamie Hughes is the early favourite to land a fourth FishOMania title in Lincolnshire this weekend, however it is sure to be a tightly contested day of angling action.
Reigning champ Lucas returns and is in contention, while former back-to-back winner Andy Bennett is also fancied to be among the leading contenders.
