Precise will be taken on by Blue Bolt in a fascinating renewal of the Falmouth Stakes.
The Group 1 event staged on the Friday of Newmarket's three-day July Festival boasts a star-studded roll of honour that includes recent winners such as Porta Fortuna, Alpha Centauri and Goldikova.
This year's renewal promises to be yet another quality-laden affair, with four-time Group 1 winner Precise (8/11) set to take on impressive Duke Of Cambridge Stakes winning-filly Blue Bolt (7/2).
Precise, trained by Aidan O'Brien, avenged her defeat to stablemate True Love in the 1,000 Guineas by storming to victory in the Irish equivalent at the Curragh three weeks later.
She provided further proof that she is a top class miler by winning the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot at the back end of June.
Also victorious at the Royal meeting was Blue Bolt, dotting up in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes two days prior to Precise's Coronation performance. The Juddmonte-owned four-year-old will have to give 9lbs away to her younger rivals if she is to capture elite level success for the very first time in her career.
Another fascinating addition to Friday's headline race is Donnacha O'Brien's Balantina (5/1).
The daughter of Ten Sovereigns managed to get within three-and-a-half-lengths of Precise on seasonal debut at Royal Ascot and any improvement on that would surely put her bang up there with the odds-on favourite.
She ended last season with success in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and is a fascinating prospect with a run under her belt.
