Everton are reportedly exploring a deal to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer.
Luiz joined Juventus in the summer of 2024 after a highly-successful five-year spell at Aston Villa where he made 204 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
The Brazil international failed to establish himself in Turin as he made just 19 league appearances for the club during the 2024/25 campaign.
He subsequently found himself on the fringes last season and he went out on loan to Nottingham Forest.
The 28-year-old played eight times for Forest in the Premier League, before spending the second half of the season back on loan at Aston Villa.
Luiz has since returned to Juventus but his chances of first-team football look unlikely and Italian media outlet Calciomercato.it have reported that Everton are interested in a deal.
It is claimed that Everton have made enquiries over a potential deal which is likely to be around the £15 million mark.
Bournemouth have also been mooted as a potential destination but the Toffees are believed to be at the front of the queue.
The centre of midfield is starting to take shape for Everton, with Hayden Hackney joining from Middlesbrough to accompany the impressive duo of James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The possible addition of Luiz would give manager David Moyes an additional high-quality option as he looks to improve on last season's 13th-placed finish.
