EFL Fantasy Gameweek 11 Tips

Kabongo Tshimanga (Barnet)

Ownership - 16%

Let's start with the obvious selection: Barnet's Kabongo Tshimanga.

The 29-year-old striker took his account to eight goals for the campaign during Barnet's 3-1 defeat at home to Swindon Town and Tshimanga stands top of the pile for goal involvements in League Two this term with 14 in 10 matches.

Dean Brennan's Bees are a side that love to score, they have multiple routes to breach opponents and Tshimanga is central to their attacking exploits. The former Boreham Wood and Crawley Town marksman has generated a league-high 7.32 xG from 21 shots, has created the most big chances of any striker in the fourth tier (5) and has enjoyed the most touches in the opposition box (55) compared to his positional peers.

Barnet's loss to Swindon concluded their unbeaten start, but they have an opportunity to bounce back immediately with the visit of Oldham, who are winless on their travels so far and have failed to keep a clean sheet on the road. Then the Bees encounter York at The Hive, who have conceded in all but two of their league fixtures.

John Lundstram (Leicester City)

Ownership - 0.7%

Leicester City picked up John Lundstram on deadline day following his departure from Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor and the veteran midfielder is proving to be one of their better acquisitions.

On top of the leadership qualities he's demonstrated, Lundstram has added a goal threat from midfield by notching three in five matches, including a sublime volley against Doncaster before netting again in the 4-0 victory over Bromley.

In addition to the goals, Lundstram has been racking up the interceptions with six in five matches, and Leicester encounter a Luton side who like to try and manufacture shooting positions from central areas so Lundstram should be in the thick of the action at both ends of the pitch.

The Foxes then welcome basement side Wigan Athletic in another enticing fixture for Lundstram to add to his goal account.

Ollie Pearce (York City)

Ownership - 2.5%

York City's Ollie Pearce is in red-hot form at present.

The 31-year-old found the back of the net for a fourth consecutive League Two fixture during York's 1-1 draw against Accrington and Pearce has six goals and four assists for the season.

Pearce's supply line is littered with creativity including the enterprising Harry Boyes, who has racked up a league-high eight big chances, while Alex Hunt also ranks prominently among the league's most consistent creators.

Pearce has the potential to extend his goalscoring streak with the visit of Port Vale, who are 0-1-4 on their travels so far and have conceded 9 of their 10 goals away from home, and he will relish getting his teeth stuck into a Barnet defence that are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Oliver Whatmuff (Stockport County)

Ownership - 4.4%

Bradford are the clean sheet kings in League One with Jon McCracken boasting eight shutouts so far, but Stockport County's Oliver Whatmuff has been chipping away at his tally with three clean sheets in his last four appearances.

The precocious shot-stopper, on loan from Manchester City, has made an excellent start to life at Edgeley Park and is living up to his billing as a future England number one.

The 18-year-old has been a vital component in a Stockport side that have unearthed an improved balance between attack and defence under Jim McNulty as they continue to score goals but leak fewer, resulting in their climb to the top of the standings.

The Hatters encounter two sides who have struggled to fashion an abundance of opportunities in Notts County and Oxford United, which should make Whatmuff's life a little easier.

Michael Helik (Oxford United)

Ownership - 0.4%

Oxford encounter two of the best teams in the league at the Kassam Stadium in Bradford and Stockport, but this will be an opportunity for Aaron Ramsey's side to demonstrate if they can mix it with two promotion contenders.

As good as Bradford have been defensively, Michael Duff is desperate to remedy their attacking output; the Bantams have scored 10 this campaign, which is the joint-third fewest in the division.

Yes, Stockport are the league's highest scorers, but Oxford are a significantly better team when Michael Helik is available. The Polish centre-back is too good for League One, and that's showcased in his defensive numbers.

The Yellows have only conceded five goals in the seven matches that Helik's featured, where he's racked up 59 clearances, five tackles and seven blocks. He's also a set-piece threat, and opened his account for the season in the win against Wigan.

It's a bold strategy, but one that could pay off given Helik is owned by just 0.4% of players.
