As with the majority of other tournaments on the PDC calendar, Phil Taylor is the all-time record title-holder.

'The Power' boasts 11 World Grand Prix crowns, five more than Dutchman Michael van Gerwen who sits second on the list.

A total of 11 players have reigned supreme in the competition, but only one other - James Wade - has won the event more than once.

A total of 26 players have reached the World Grand Prix final, with 11 of those subsequently going on to be crowned champion.

Phil Taylor holds the record for the most appearances in the tournament showpiece with 11, four more than Michael van Gerwen has managed (seven).

Gerwyn Price and James Wade have both reached three World Grand Prix finals, with Wade winning two of those and Price triumphing once.

A plethora of players including Raymond van Barneveld, Dave Chisnall, John Part and Terry Jenkins have reached the final twice.

Three players boast more than 15 appearances in the World Grand Prix, with James Wade featuring in the annual event on 20 occasions.

Phil Taylor, who won the event 11 times, entered the competition 19 times with former back-to-back world champion Adrian Lewis a 16-time tournament entrant.

Highest World Grand Prix Darts Match Average

106.47 - Gian van Veen v Luke Littler (Round 1, 2025)

Incredibly, Gian van Veen recorded the best ever World Grand Prix Darts match average against Luke Littler in round one of the 2025 event, but it still wasn't enough to win a set against the world champion.

Prior to that, Alan Warriner had held the record for 24 years after he produced a 106.45 average in his first round success over Andy Jenkins in 2001.

A number of players have achieved three-figure match averages, although despite the best attempts of the likes of Gary Anderson (104.86), Michael van Gerwen (104.47) and Phil Taylor (103.02).

100.29 - Michael van Gerwen v Gary Anderson (2016)

Michael van Gerwen's 100.29 three-dart average against Gary Anderson in 2016 remains the highest average ever achieved in a World Grand Prix final.

MVG rattled home the three-figure tally as he saw off 'The Flying Scotsman' 5-2 to land the £100,000 first prize.

World Grand Prix Darts 9-Dart Legs

There have been a total of three perfect legs in World Grand Prix history, with Brendan Dolan the first player to record a televised nine-darter at the double-in-double-out event.

He achieved the landmark feat against James Wade in 2011, before the Machine and his opponent Robert Thornton, both scored darting perfection at the 2014 World Grand Prix.
