We take a look at the records and statistics from the Grand Slam of Darts ahead of the 2026 staging of the unique group stage format event in Wolverhampton.
Phil Taylor remains the most decorated player in Grand Slam of Darts history, landing six titles throughout his illustrious career.
The Power featured in the event 11 times, securing the coveted crown on six occasions including during the competition's inaugural staging back in 2007.
He romped to an 18-11 victory over fellow Stoke star Andy Hamilton back in 2007, before reigning supreme in each of the next two years too.
He subsequently triumphed in 2011, 2012 and 2013, before reaching the final once again in 2015 only to succumb to defeat at the hands of Michael van Gerwen.
Alongside Taylor, MVG is one only three other players to boast multiple Grand Slam of Darts victories, with Gerwyn Price and 2024 and 2025 champion Luke Littler completing the quartet.
A total of 19 players have reached the Grand Slam of Darts final, with 10 of those failing to capture the coveted title.
Phil Taylor holds the record for the most appearances in the tournament showpiece with seven, with Michael van Gerwen second on the list with four.
A trio of players - Gerwyn Price, James Wade and Peter Wright - have reached the final on three occasions, whilst Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Scott Waites and Gary Anderson have twice reached the event decider.
Incredibly, despite Wade and Wright reaching six finals between them, neither have ever managed to cross the winning post.
Michael van Gerwen, James Wade and Gary Anderson hold the joint-record for the most Grand Slam of Darts appearances, having featured in 17 of the 19 editions of the competition.
Incredibly, Dutchman Wessel Nijman boasts the highest tournament average (107.67) at a Grand Slam of Darts event, despite failing to win a single match.
Somehow, despite notching averages of 106.51, 105.39 and 111.10, Nijman was beaten in all three of his Group H matches by Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock and Gian van Veen in 2024.
This despite registering higher scoring averages than all three of his opponents!
In fact, last year's event produced the top three highest tournament averages, with Van Veen (106.58) and Luke Littler (105.81) joining Nijman on the list.
Michael van Gerwen boasts the highest match average in the Grand Slam of Darts, scoring an astronomical 115.19 in a 5-2 victory over Joe Cullen in 2021.
Surprisingly, unlike many other tournaments, seven different players make up the highest seven match averages, with Dimiri Van den Bergh (114.85), Gian van Veen (114.71), Phil Taylor (114.65), Geert De Vos (113.86), Michael Smith (113.62) and Gary Anderson (113.20) completing the list.
Despite Luke Littler running Phil Taylor close with a 107.08 average in his emphatic triumph over Martin Lukeman last year, it's the Stoke-on-Trent star who still boasts the highest average (109.04) in a final.
He notched a three-dart figure of 109.04 in his 2011 demolition of Gary Anderson at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, as he landed a fourth title in five years courtesy of a 16-4 win over the Scotsman.
There have been a total of seven perfect legs in Grand Slam of Darts history, with Luke Humphrie producing the most recent in 2025.
Prior to 'Cool Hand's' exploits in his group stage victory over Michael Smith, Ryan Searle, Josh Rock, Dimitri Van den Bergh, Dave Chisnall, Kim Huybrechts and James Wade all recorded darting perfection in Wolverhampton.
